Margaret Munro wrote a nice piece in the Globe and Mail about our work on red knots. It's open access so you can download it here Just returned from the International Wader Study group meeting in Prague. A great meeting and looking forward to the next meeting in the Netherlands next year. Last March I was fortunate to visit the Gordon Research conference in Ventura (CA) movement ecology of animals. This was a great meeting and I could present a poster about my current work. Earlier this year, Margaret Munro wrote a great article about the threats to shorebirds in Nature. Our work using the Motus network to understand migratory connectivity was highlighted in this article. You can find the article here |

Salt extraction• I have been externally hired during my PhD (4 months), to write a report on the effects of salt-mining under the Dutch Wadden Sea and the possible impact on migrating shorebirds, which resulted in much media attention.
